The Family Fodder was founded in London in the mid-70s by the multi-instrumentalist (and only constant member) Alig Fodder. Their music is a very witty mix of new wave, pop, punk, rock, folk, disco, chanson and classical music, spiced with psychedelic moments, French and German lyrics and reggae style dub. Their first release was a mini album tribute to Blondie in 1979.

Yes, they were a very funny band. After some albums and singles they disbanded in the mid-80s and reformed first in 2000 then in 2010 in fully different line-ups. Their latest album was released in the summer of 2013.
Their first album Monkey Banana Kitchen (1979) and the Schizophrenia Party EP (1981) will be re-released on vinyl and CD by Staubgold. The reissued Schizophrenia Party LP contains the 7″ singles Film Music (1981) and The Big Dig (1982). The CD version features the complete albums plus the 7″ singles.
