is an Australian literally DIY indie rock band, formed in 1984. They have never had a manager or agent and never signed a recording deal. The NME wrote about their first 7” EP in 1987: „I’m in love with the girl singer’s bittersweet intonations, I’m in love with the boy’s clattering percussion, I’m in love with the off-pitch trumpet and recorder, I’m in love with the singing bass, I’m in love with the goddam WHOLE!” Here is their new album by Chapter Music

“LA’s Soft Metals formed in 2009 after Ian Hicks and Patricia Hall met at a DJ night and connected over their obsession with analog synthesizers and the shadowy, sultry, untamed expressions of underground electronic music.” They get inspiration from experimental electronics industrial minimal synth pop psych krautrock house techno music.
